London Auction to Feature Banksy/Others Today
February 5th, 2008 by BallerHouseWe just learned that Bonhams auction house is hosting an “Urban Art” auction tonight (19:00) in London, featuring some high-priced originals from Banksy, Invader, Faile, Ben Long, and Adam Neate, among others. Some of the more interesting pieces include:
- An untitled Banksy stencil estimated to fetch $80-$100k (pictured at the top);
- Two painted delivery truck doors by Ben Long valued at $4-$6k each (bottom left in thumbs); and
- A graff-style work on a cardboard box by Adam Neat, which is expected to bring in $8-$12k (botton right).
The auction is also stocked with a ton of prints from Banksy, Murakami, D*Face, and more. And you don’t have to be in London to bid; you can do it online at Bonhams’ website. Even if you wouldn’t consider bidding, there is a lot of cool stuff on display. It’s definitely worth a look.
