February 26th, 2008 by BallerHouse
Meridian, a highly renowned manufacturer of premium hi-fi audio systems, has announced it will introduce a new DSP7200 Loudspeaker as an upgraded version of its popular DSP7000 model. The new DSP7200 Loudspeaker is essentially a scaled-down version of the company’s most popular flagship design, the DSP8000.
To cut to the chase, the new speakers will sell for about $35,000 when released, and the release date has yet to be determined. For those of you who are technically inclined, we’ve listed a couple of the specs on the DSP7200 Loudspeaker after the jump:
DSP7200 Loudspeaker Specs
- Four 100-watt amplifiers drive two 8-inch long-throw bass units, a 6-inch midrange unit (which is the same featured in the DSP8000s) and a 1-inch tweeter.
- Meridian’s new SpeakerLink technology is also included, which means RJ45 Ethernet ports are featured for interconnection.
