Banzai’s Skim Board Slide
March 21st, 2008 by BallerHouse
The Banzai Skim Board Surfer is such a smart and simple idea, we’re surprised this product concept didn’t make it to market sooner. Here’s how it works: the 26-foot slide connects to a garden hose, which fills bumpers on the sides of the slide. Spray nozzles on the bumper shoot water into the slide’s inner reservoir, filling it with a few inches of water in minutes. The slide is then ready to start skimming. Available through Wally World for just under $50, the Banzai Skim Board Surfer is a bargain, considering the package comes with a 30” skim board included. Just beware that the board is not “pro quality,” like some retailers are trying to market it.

[…] The Banzai Skimboard Surfer will give you the enjoyment of surfing in your backyard without the risk of sharks, drowning or breaking your neck. (Well at least the first two.) Just connect a garden hose and when the bumpers along the sides are filled they’ll start spraying water into the inner reservoir. Once that’s filled, you’ll be able to skim along the specially designed surface using the included pro-quality wooden surfboard. Available now for $49.88. [BallerHouse] […]

Can a regular skimboard be used on this slide? My ten year old would love it.

A regular skimboard would actually be preferable. The manufacturer includes one with the package, but there are definitely better quality boards on the market. A larger sized board also shouldn’t be much of a problem.
