X-Light Surround Bumps Up the Bathroom Sink

Two days after we brought you the Rhythmbath bathtub speaker we’ve learned about an amplified speaker sink, the X-Light Surround basin by WET. The X-Light is the first “musical” washbasin, complete with a built-in amplified speaker system for an MP3 or portable CD-player. Designed by Jan Puylaert, the Surround sound sink measures 142 x 38 cm and is made from transparent, light-diffusing acrylic polymer (PMMA).

While we wouldn’t go out and replace our shower speakers with the X-Light just yet, we think it could serve as a nice complement to your current bathroom sound system if you’ve got one in place.
