Sumo Size Your Lounging with the Omni Beanbag Sack
May 12th, 2008 by BallerHouse
Looking for the perfect lounge chair to kick back on this summer? We’d suggest that you seriously consider Sumo’s Omni beanbag. Our friends at Sumo hooked us up an Omni to demo, and after we put it through the ringer this weekend, we’re happy to report that the super-sized sack is even more comfortable and practical than it appears in pictures.
The 4.5′ x 5.5′ Omni lounger is a cross between your traditional beanbag chair and an over-sized floor pillow. The durable, rip-proof nylon cover allows you to tote the chair outside with you when the weather’s nice, making it an extremely functional piece of furniture to keep in your place this summer. We’ve chosen to give our new black Omni chair a permanent parking place in front of our living room TV. And we expect it to make its first appearance at the beach as soon as the San Francisco weather warrants a trip.
According to the folks at Sumo, they’ve come up with 10 different ways to use the chair, ranging from a loveseat to a crash mat. We tried the chair in a number of configurations and found the chair-like arrangement (pictured in thumb 4) to be the most comfortable, even though the others were great as well. As compared with a traditional beanbag chair or a LoveSac, we’re highly impressed with the way the Omni holds its shape but still configures nicely to your body.
Priced at $129 with shipping included, the Omni is also a good deal.
