If you’ve ever tried to chill a keg, you know what a pain in the ass it can be unless you’ve got a kegorator or a beer dispenser. Generally, you’d have to find a clean, empty trash can and make a run to the store to pick up BAGS of ice. Fortunately, Kegworks has come to the rescue with a new low-budget keg cooling solution, the keg jacket. The keg jacket works like a combination between an ice pack and a beer koozie; you stick an “ice blanket” into the freezer, then drop it into an insulated neoprene sleeve and slip it over the keg. Unlike an ice pack or a beer koozie, however, the keg jacket stays cold for up to 24 hours. And when it gets dirty, you can toss the keg jacket in the washing machine. Half keg, five gallon keg, and individual “growler” (jug) sizes are available, priced at $110, $50, and $29 respectively.
