The Lusso Luxury Turntable
May 23rd, 2008 by BallerHouseMontegiro, a company out of Germany, has dropped the most luxurious turntable we’ve seen to date: the Lusso. While it costs $47K, as much as a nice car, the Lusso features an extremely innovative design composed of three height-adjustable connected cones made from alternate layers of aluminum and black acrylic. A newly developed, ultra precise synchronous motor is suspended in one of the cones, while another supports the standard 10″ Da Vinci Nobile carbon fiber arm and Montegiro MG1 titanium cartridge. The central inverted cone supports the record. A special version of the Lusso is also available, which has a fourth cone supporting a second 9″ SME 5009 tonearm.
