Pharrell Launches Limited Edition Furniture Line

If you’ve kept up with artist/super-producer Pharrell Williams, you know the man doesn’t limit himself to the recording studio. In addition to the Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream, Pharrell’s latest non-music venture is a limited edition furniture collection, produced in collaboration with French furniture maker Domeau & Peres.
The first pics from the collection show Pharrell’s Perspective chair, designed by Williams to represent the love between a woman and man. According to Pharell himself, “I had often wondered what it’s like to truly be in love,not lust for once..So I decided not to ask what it was like in someone else’s shoes or what it was like to sit in their seat..I decided to sketch out my own experiment; the perspective chair.” The result leaves a lot to the imagination.
Pharrell’s furniture collection is set to debut at the prestigious Emmanuel Perrotin Galerie in Parison October 21, 2008 with the exhibit running until January 10, 2009. Four different colors of the Perspective chair will be produced, with four chairs of each color up for sale. Another chair design and a table will also be on display during the show.
