Rare Rifles At Auction in Scotland

Here’s an opportunity to add some rare rifles to your gun collection and catch a round of golf or two at one of Scotland’s finest five star resorts. On August 25th, Sotheby’s is hosting a Fine Modern & Vintage Sporting Guns auction at the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland’s Perthshire countryside. The auction lot is stocked with interesting pieces, ranging from a rare pair of Luciano Bosis engraved rifles (70,000—90,000 GBP, about $132,000-$170,000) to a variety of accessories in the sub $2,000 price range. The resorts golf facilities include three championship courses, where the Ryder Cup will be held in 2014.

Pictured above you’ll see a Perugini & Visini 12-bore single trigger side lock ejector over and under gun expected to fetch $57,000 to $76,000.
