Leave it to baller designers Herman Miller to top their own ergonomic Aeron desk chair, the previous top-dog in the high-end chair marketplace, with the Embody. After 14 yers on top the Aeron will now take it’s place in the number 2 seat after the Embody, which took Herman Miller over two years to design. The high back is equipt with 56 “flexors” which are strategically positioned to support your back.  The seat cushion is equipted with 93 “pixels”, or interconnected disks, that shift as you move around in the chair.

The Embody shifts involuntarily as you go throughout your day and will never make you feel uncomfortable at your desk. Herman Miller claims “Sitting in this chair versus other chairs you can actually reduce your heart rate, increase your blood flow and open up your chest cavity.” We all spend plenty of time in our desk chairs and the Embody might actualy make that time a bit more pleasant. The throne comes at a price a $1595 and will be avaiable in retail stores in early 2009.
