Get Ready to Rock and Roll with SimCraft’s New Apex Racing Simulators

“Laugh in the face of those unrealistic racing arcade games. Forget the two-dimensional experience of your game console. And get ready for a real racing experience that puts you at the center of the action,” states upstart racing simulator manufacturer SimCraft. After several generations of prototypes, SimCraft is set to officially debut its Apex series of highly realistic racing simulators at the 2009 International CES show in Las Vegas from January 8-11.
According to the company, “SimCraft’s APEX SC830 and APEX SC320 are patent-pending, military-grade simulators that bring the sense of touch to the home market. The APEX SC830 is developed for the training of professional racers (and ultra-competitive gamers) and offers three degrees of freedom (roll 40° / pitch 25° / yaw 40°). The APEX SC320 was designed for the hardcore gamer and offers two degrees of freedom (roll 20° / pitch 20°). ” The benefit to the movement is that it creates a more realistic racing experience, replicating the feel of drifting and other common movements.
The only downside, or upside depending on how you look at it, is that SimCraft’s racing simulators are virtually sound free. So you won’t get the real race car noise. But then again, you won’t keep up everyone in the house on those nights where you want to get in a little late night gaming.
SimCraft will also be dropping a moving flight simulator, the Aero SC530 sometime in the near future.
