HSH Architects have designed a rather unusual staircase that not only allows access to the upper levels of your home, but is also an artistic center-piece & focal point of any room.

The staircase was inspired by rippling ribbon, but is  sturdy & safely secured to the wall. The stairs are constructed from sheet metal, with oblique pieces attached to rigid, wall-mounted brackets.

According to the company’s site, the “higher steps bear mainly drawing forces, while pressure is transmitted through the lower steps” – whatever that means. All we know is that it works, looks fantastic & won’t collapse under you.
