Montegrappa Honors Bruce Lee With Dragon Pen

Montegrappa are honoring the most famous martial arts action star ever; Bruce Lee.

The company has unveiled a range of exquisite writing instruments in a limited edition release called The Dragon 2010 Bruce Lee series. The series is the latest in their Icons range & it commemorates the 70th anniversary of the martial artist’s birth. Montegrappa originally released a commemorative Dragon pen in 1995, but they have reworked the design for the new edition & given is some swanky remodelling.

The pocket clip has been redesigned, with the pen now in available in red, with beautiful detailing of the dragon on the barrel, nib & cap. The dragons have been beautifully carved with precious stones for eyes & an iconic profile of Bruce Lee on the nib of the pen.

Montegrappa are making a total of 2010 pieces in the series, including:

  • 888 sterling silver fountain pens
  • 888 sterling silver roller balls
  • 88 solid yellow gold fountain pens
  • 88 solid yellow gold roller balls
  • 8 fountain pens in solid yellow gold with black diamonds
  • 8 roller balls in solid yellow gold with black diamonds
  • 8 fountain pens in solid yellow gold with rubies
  • 8 roller balls in solid yellow gold with rubies
  • 8 fountain pens in solid yellow gold with emeralds
  • 8 roller balls in solid yellow gold with emeralds

Pricing for the pens starts at $4,675, topping out at $102,200 for individuals, with $290,550 for the ultra-rare, three-piece set. There will be only 10 of the sets available & they’ll consist of a fountain pen, roller ball & inkwell in solid gold, with white diamonds.

So if you’re a collector or if you have some spare cash lying around & you like the look of these creatures, then you’ll have to make enquiries quickly before all 2010 units are spoken for!
