A Masculine Wood Chandelier for a Stylish Man Cave
August 31st, 2011 by PurnimaDo you own a modern man cave that also has a rustic appeal? Are you still scratching your head wondering how to add character and oomph to make it baller? As always, lighting will do the trick in a jiffy. Of course, the type of light fixture would certainly be a point worthy of consideration. Here is one manly chandelier design that not only adds character but will also add oodles of panache to your interiors. Furniture designer Hrvoje Vulama has created a masculine oak wood chandelier that resembles a disco ball. Unlike bling and glass chandeliers, this one is rugged, modern, unique and full of personality – all the qualities any baller guy would seek from a piece of furniture.
The chandelier is made of 258 separate pieces of oak wood and weighs approximately 15 kg. It is designed in the shape of a globe or disco ball and is completely hand crafted from start to finish. The materials used and the rugged design employed contribute to its modern aesthetic with a rustic flair. The finishing is done with natural Tung oil, linseed oil and beeswax. The chandelier is more than just a light fixture. Absolutely ‘eye-catching’, it will make one hell of a centerpiece in your living/working quarter. Anyone would notice it as soon as they enter the room.
For those who love the log cabin life and would love to bring a rustic touch to their abodes, the chandelier would make a perfect fit. It would even suit interiors that are contemporary and unique. Of course, as the wood designer rightly says ‘you either love it or hate it’. Let us know your take on this design and we’ll be sure to pass on the information.
