Luxury Luggage from Williams British Handmade
November 24th, 2011 by PurnimaPlanning a luxury getaway during the holidays? If you’re a baller, the chances of you having answered the above in the affirmative are close to 100 per cent. Let’s not waste anymore of your precious man minutes and get right down to the question of whether you are stylishly equipped and ready for your vacation. If you aren’t smitten by Louis Vuitton just yet or Gucci doesn’t sound exciting enough or PRADA sounds so yesterday, allow us to introduce to you a designer from the United Kingdom – Sarah Jane Williams – the name behind the 2010 custom crafted luggage label Williams British Handmade. The luggage is so stylish, unique and bespoke that you will never want to be seen travelling without it!
Williams British Handmade’s custom luggage cases have a unique aesthetic that boasts a one-of-a-kind craftsmanship – employing traditional methods whilst at the same time yielding modern and trendsetting results. Each piece is handcrafted with great care and tailor made to suit the tastes and preferences of the client. In Sarah’s luggage cases, you will find solid brass frames and fittings, saddle stitching (by hand), trim and badging – all perfectly finished to the T. All pieces are crafted with gorgeous bridle leather and utilize Joe Macneil’s (of Macneil Metalcraft) hand forging for metal parts. The collection includes day cases, briefcases, luggage trunks and a picnic case. Each case is further adorned with engraved brass badges.
Take a closer look and you will notice that the attention to detail is mind boggling - be it the arches, corners or bends. The novelty that comes from experiencing the unexpected is what you see in Sarah’s creations – the corners are asymmetrical, the arches are definitive and the turns occur where you least expect them to.
Prices are exclusive and are dependent on pieces and extent of customization. For more information and quotes, please contact Sarah or visit Williams British Handmade.
