Carbon fiber has taken over the sports car interior.  Now it’s making its way into the house.  A wealthy Brazilian businessman commissioned Choate Carbon to create a carbon fiber finished door for his elevator room, complete with a carbon fiber biometric fingerprint scanner.

With the honeycomb design, the total door weighs in at a light 99 lbs. The project took months to complete and came in at a total cost of $15,000.
