HSH Architects have designed a rather unusual staircase that not only allows access to the upper levels of your home, but is also an artistic center-piece & focal point of any room.
The staircase was inspired by rippling ribbon, but is sturdy & safely secured to the wall. The stairs are constructed from sheet metal, with oblique pieces attached to rigid, wall-mounted brackets.

Carbon fiber has taken over the sports car interior. Now it’s making its way into the house. A wealthy Brazilian businessman commissioned Choate Carbon to create a carbon fiber finished door for his elevator room, complete with a carbon fiber biometric fingerprint scanner.
With the honeycomb design, the total door weighs in at a light 99 lbs. The project took months to complete and came in at a total cost of $15,000.

If you stop by BallerHouse often, you know that we like showing you interesting modern fireplace designs like those from Digifire and Safretti. Today we came across a baller series of abstract-looking fireplaces from French fireplace manufacturer Bordelet. As you’ll see above an in the two images after the jump below, Bordelet creates a number of wild luxury art fireplaces, including central chimney, mural chimney, and angular chimney models. The best part about Bordelet’s abstract fireplaces is that they’re available in 500 colors and patterns, including Zebra and Tiger designs.
