From the Inside Out…

Vanishing Wall System

Your home is more than your castle, it’s your oasis, and today’s hottest trends in home ownership are all about resort living – at home. What better way to create your personal outdoor living vista than with – you guessed it – floor to ceiling vanishing walls.

Vanishing wall systems aren’t exactly new, but building smart, building green and expanding indoor living into outdoor spaces create today’s best access to your lakefront, oceanfront, poolside or simply fabulous backyard landscaping.

NanaWall® builds pretty much the only game in town and they’ve been doing it for twenty years, so they’ve had lots of practice. In spite of the fact that vanishing wall systems are made up of huge glass panels, I was pretty surprised to learn how durable they are – they have a model that is Dade County (Miami) hurricane approved. Really?

Nana offers a large number of options – types of glass, aluminum or wood, types of wood, folding panels, single track systems, number of panels – you can absolutely find the perfect fit for your home, all to your specifications. Because each system is a custom creation, the pricing is custom too; but the Nana Web site give a range of $600 to $1950 per lineal foot for basic folding systems. Most of the glass is Energy Star rated and has solar gain, so you do get energy efficiency for your money.

Sit back, relax, and bring the outdoors in (or the indoors out) with the flip of a switch. It’s green, it’s beautiful and it’s smart. So cool it’s downright chilly.

According to Acronym, “this bench follows simple structural principals and uses the simplicity of form to showcase the beauty of the wood.
