WROMP Combines RC Car with Paintball Gun

November 23rd, 2008 by BallerHouse

Home security taken to the next level?  Not quite yet, although we’d like to see a commercially available version available for the holidays.  Instead, WROMP is designer Chris Rogers’ vision for a new kind of military RC vehicle.

According to Rogers, “this is a weaponized version of the Remotely Operated Mobile Platform. It is wirelessly controlled from a safe zone using a color wireless Audio-Visual system linked to a VR Headset. The operator can ‘drive’ the vehicle and fire the weapon although it is out of visual range. WROMP can also be used for reconnaissance and bomb investigation and remote detonation.”

Since it’s unlikely you’ll ever see the WROMP on store shelves, we’d recommend building your own.  A little ingenuity and you could have one of the most bad ass home security devices around.
