If there were ever a way to maximize the space in your crib, the Electrolux Rendez-vous is it.  This interactive table carries an electric charge that can charge your laptop or other electronic gadgets, and the Rendez-vous acts as a nearly-complete cooking station.

Need to cook something on your frying pan? No problem.  The table top is an inductive cooking system that uses sensor technology.  Need a place to store or hear  your food?  The modular drawers underneath the table can be equipped with a refrigerador, a stove, and nearly every other kitchen appliance.

And the best part of the Electrolux Rendez-vous is the virtual chef, which guides the table owner through the cooking process, ensuring some tasty grub.

Part TV Cabinet, Part Light Show

May 25th, 2009 by BallerHouse

remote controlled tv cabinetCustom stone carving company Advent Design has released images of its new, hand-carved flat panel TV cabinet, which also happens to serve up a mean light show.

According to the company, “this flat panel TV cabinet was custom designed and carved in relief for a contemporary bedroom. It includes a remote controlled lift mechanism and the TV can be left on while the cabinet is closed to provide a colorful light show through the translucent stone.”

Although the carving is a little gaudy, even for our tastes, the light show concept is pretty slick.  Hook up your own custom design through Advent.

Light Up Your Fish Tank with Glofish

May 20th, 2009 by BallerHouse

If you’ve got a fish tank in your basement, garage, home bar, or any other room where you don’t mind dimming the lights, light it up with flourescent Glofish.  Available in Starfire Red, Electric Green, and Sunburst Orange, these genetically-modified Zebrafish shine brightest under black light but glow under natural light as well.

Glofish were introduced to the United States in 2003 by Austin, Texas based Yorktown Technologies, which acts as the exclusive distributor.  Although there have been no reports of any ecological concerns associated with their sale, Glofish are without a doubt controversial and banned in California, Canada, and many European countries.

If you live anywhere else, you can hook up your Glofish at a selection of fish stores that you can find here.

Here’s a new video game to add to the collection.  The 10th installment of Tony Hawk Ride will be shipping with a peripheral skate deck, which looks pretty sick at first glance.  Little is known about what’s in store for the new Hawk but that it will be available for Xbox 360, Wii and PS3.  This one looks like it’s worth the pre-order to us. Catch the Ride trailer after the jump.
