Pardon the pun in the title, but this one was just too good to pass up.
You’re probably asking yourself “what am I looking at?”. Well, what you’re looking at is a picture of a desk lamp that has the functionality of one. That’s right, it’s the Flat Light poster that actually provides light.
Of course, it’s a pretty “Out There” concept; having a 2-dimensional visual image of an object that acts just as the 3-dimensional version would. But as ‘way out’ & ‘arty’ as it is, we like it because there’s nothing like walking into your study & switching on a poster for a light.

The concept of a brass knuckle coffee cup is nothing new. However, LA design firm P.A.D. has taken the idea to a new level of (luxury?) with the Gold Knuckles Mug. More of an object of art than a traditional coffee cup, the 14k gold handled mug is safe for drinking. That is, if you can stomach the $98 retail price per mug.
P.A.D is a Los Angeles design duo comprising of architect Thomas Robertson of Ripple Design and Eli Bonerz, a founder and art director of the XLarge streetwear brand. As you can tell, the streetwear influence definitely shines through.
Available in red, white, and black through A+R Store
