Get Retro with 1970’s Fridge and Bar Coffee Tables
July 15th, 2008 by BallerHouseThis morning we stumbled across a circa 1970 coffee table with an integrated fridge unit, built in the style of art deco furniture icon Willy Rizzo. Constructed from stainless steel with a lacquered black wood frame, the table features separate compartments for liquor, wine, and other refreshments. To our disappointment, we learned that the item has been put on hold. However, we searched and found four more authentic Willy Rizzo bar coffee tables currently on the market with prices fixed in the four-figure range (pictured in the gallery below). Each table has a fly art deco look and compartments purposely designed for your booze. Unfortunately, the coffee table pictured above is the only piece we could find with a built-in refrigerator unit. So if you’ve got the funds and the patience, consider commissioning your own custom fridge coffee table. Despite the novel concept, you’re guaranteed to be one of the few out there with this extremely functional furniture piece. Check out the gallery below and follow the jump for the sources.
