Luxury European bath-maker Kaldewei prides itself on pumping out some of the most cutting edge bathroom designs. And with the company’s new Bassino floating bathtub, they’ve definitely come up with a winner.
The floating tub is suspended in a shallow pool, creating the feeling that you are surrounded in water. A cool concept, especially when it’s paired with a view of the water.
According to Kaldewei, “purist design with clean-cut interior lines creates generous proportions allowing you to lie back and relax in the water. The low height makes stepping into Bassino exceptionally comfortable, while the vertical walls of this minimalist pool allow maximum space for showering.”
If you think this bath tub design is progressive, check out the new shower-in-bedroom design after the jump.

Perfect for soaking up as much info as possible as you’re getting ready to start the day or keeping you entertained as you’re winding down (let’s just hope it’s in eye shot of the john). The multimedia mirror comes in black and white lacquer, so it should be easy to match up with most any contemporary bathroom look. Gabriele and Oscar Buratti are responsible for the sleek design.
