Lacking on musical talent? There’s a new way to feel like a rock star, and we’re not talking about Guitar Hero or Rock Band. The beamz Music Performance System lets you play hundreds of pre-authored pulses, streams, riffs or loops from hundreds of instruments by simply breaking lasers with your hands.
To get started with the beamz, you connect the w-shaped machine via USB to your computer, then hook up some speakers, and you’re ready to play. The beamz system has six laser beams spanning two sections and comes loaded with songs from 19 genres of music, including hip hop, reggae, heavy metal, and more. The price? $600.
