Wine caves maintain average temperatures of 55°-60°F and humidity of 80%-90%, thereby reducing evaporation and spoilage without significant energy inputs. And even if you’re not a wine connoisseur, caves make a good place for parties, home theaters, and other collection storage. Caves also last longer than buildings and are easier to permit on average.
