The Big Tube Surfboard MuralDrew Brophy is the mac daddy of surf art, creating colorful and cartoonish board designs, paintings, and other works from his Son of the Sea, Inc. studio in San Clemente, California. Drew’s surfboards are sold in art galleries and establishments like the Hard Rock Casino, Las Vegas, as well as to many individuals around the world. Some of these individuals you may have heard of, such as Eddie Vedor of Pearl Jam and surfers Laird Hamilton and Tom Curren.

Pictured above is “The Big Tube,” a three-board mural currently displayed at the NATIVE SONS retail store in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. At the center of the mural is an 8′0″ board with two 7′2″ boards at its side. The painting is one of Drew’s best, and it is also his favorite view from the tube.

If you want The Big Tube on your walls, the three-piece mural will run you $6,500. The two 9′6″ big wave boards for sale on Drew’s website will set you back $5,500 each. And if you’d prefer something more custom, they can do that too.

All of you ballers on a budget will have to settle for Brophy’s poster prints of his board designs, which start at $18.

Drew Brophy’s art, mural above included, is available for purchase through DrewBrophy.com.
