Italian design always delivers & these Fabian light fixtures are a prime example of why the Italians trump the design category when it comes to things like home decor.
These glass shade lighting fixtures create dramatic focal points on their own, with their black surfaces embossed by crystals that come alive when the fixture is turned on. The crystals add a touch of glamor & luxury to the unit, as well as creating a spectacle of light refraction when in use.
The range features pendant, ceiling, floor & wall units, adaptable to your interior spaces & design needs. Read the rest of this entry »

Pardon the pun in the title, but this one was just too good to pass up.
You’re probably asking yourself “what am I looking at?”. Well, what you’re looking at is a picture of a desk lamp that has the functionality of one. That’s right, it’s the Flat Light poster that actually provides light.
Of course, it’s a pretty “Out There” concept; having a 2-dimensional visual image of an object that acts just as the 3-dimensional version would. But as ‘way out’ & ‘arty’ as it is, we like it because there’s nothing like walking into your study & switching on a poster for a light.
And while your buddies might have fancy desk lamps or even those little green ones that make you think of mafia kingpins & poker dens, no one will be able to trump your light poster!

Fred Astaire (pardon the pun) would be so jealous & so we’ll forgive you for impersonating him on midnight-snack trips to the fridge. We’ll also ignore that top hat & cane you’re holding because we’d run up & down like that if we had Interactive Furniture’s lighting solutions installed.
The German company has developed automatic LED lighting for staircases that use motion sensors to detect when someone is using the stairs. So whether you’re ascending or descending, the LEDs will show you the way forward & help you navigate your stairs.

While many of Rock & Royal’s custom chandeliers push the limits, like those we’ve pictured above and in the thumbs, the company has also produced a number of tamer chandelier designs. Here’s a trophy head that we can get behind. Norwegian brand Northern Lighting’s Moo light combines the look of a moose head trophy with the practical function of wall-mounted mood lighting. The lightweight moose head lamp is constructed from poly-resin and can be used both indoors and outdoors. PETA still probably wouldn’t approve, but we do. The Moo light is available through select European retailers.
