Z-Studios Desk

While checking out the designers set to display at the BKLYN DESIGNS show from May 8-10, we came across custom metal fabrication shop Z-Studios NYC.  In addition to fresh wine racks, progressive fish tanks, and other cool metal works, the aluminum and glass-topped desk pictured above caught our attention.  The bold piece features an aggressive base and complimentary custom glass top.  If you want to show everybody who’s the boss, this sharp desk definitely gets the point across. Peep the gallery below for more custom metal creations from Z-Studios.

Martin Postler’s Paper AK-47 Kit

August 15th, 2008 by BallerHouse

paper ak-47 kit
Here’s one way to stay busy in the office when the day slows down. Martin Postler’s AK-47 is exactly what the name implies, a paper kit that lets you cut and paste together your own realistic-looking Awtomat Kalaschinkowa assault rifle. Earlier this summer some of the UK’s most-respected street artists took to decorating the gun for the Paper Wars exhibit in London. Probably the most fun application for the AK, although you’ll need to be an “experienced crafter” to get the paper rifle to this stage. At a price of $42, there’s more than a slight profit margin built into the product. But we like it anyway. Although, unless you run your own shop or your boss is extremely chill, the paper AK is probably best suited for your home office.

pewter stapler, shark shape

Give your desk a mean look with the Shark Stapler from Jac Zagoory Designs, the most aggressive stapler we’ve ever come across. This pewter stapler works with #10 staples and runs $125, comparable to many other luxury staplers on the market. We’re a little bummed we didn’t hear about Jac Zagoory’s stapler in time for Shark Week, but what can you do?
