If you are looking for the ultimate outdoor theater but are short on cash and space, follow in the footsteps of Kevin Allwine, a home theater enthusiast who decided to construct an outdoor theater in his driveway due to space issues in his home.  Allwine’s custom drive-in theater features an 8-by-12-foot theater screen placed against a concrete wall in his driveway, along with a homemade audio cabinet inside of his garage and homemade speakers.  The theater seats 30-40 comfortably and is stored in the garage between showings. Total cost? About $1,300.
