The Digital Door Viewer is the easiest way to hook up a baller security camera without breaking the bank.  Priced at $399, this wireless digital video system comes with a respectably-sized 5×8-inch LCD screen and a miniature 3/4-inch camera that can be hidden at the entryway.  The battery-operated Digital Door Viewer replaces the peephole, allowing you to press a button and display a digital color image of whoever or whatever’s lurking outside the door.

Hollandia SAFE-T Bed Incorporates Safe & TV

Hollandia Bed

Originally constructed for an international customer who wanted to keep a handgun safely stored next to him while he slept, Hollandia’s SAFE-T Bed was designed with a small safe built into the base of the bed frame.  Located underneath the mattress, at the joint where the base of the bed meets the headboard, the small safe is camouflaged by cloth and is accessed with a small key.  The bed also comes equipped with a motorized, hidden television integrated into the foot board.

To hook a SAFE-T bed up for yourself, you are looking at a $20,400 price tag. Or you can add the safe feature to any of Hollandia’s Platinum Luxe beds for $399.

Without a doubt, the SAFE-T Bed is the most upscale way to stay strapped while you sleep.  Follow the jump for a close-up of the safe.

WROMP Combines RC Car with Paintball Gun

November 23rd, 2008 by BallerHouse

Home security taken to the next level?  Not quite yet, although we’d like to see a commercially available version available for the holidays.  Instead, WROMP is designer Chris Rogers’ vision for a new kind of military RC vehicle.

According to Rogers, “this is a weaponized version of the Remotely Operated Mobile Platform. It is wirelessly controlled from a safe zone using a color wireless Audio-Visual system linked to a VR Headset. The operator can ‘drive’ the vehicle and fire the weapon although it is out of visual range. WROMP can also be used for reconnaissance and bomb investigation and remote detonation.”

Since it’s unlikely you’ll ever see the WROMP on store shelves, we’d recommend building your own.  A little ingenuity and you could have one of the most bad ass home security devices around.
