Reminiscent about your time behind bars? Or just want to feel hardcore while you’re taking care of business? Hook your bathroom up with a stainless steel toilet. Industrial design site Core77 highlighted the trend, which has started to make its way into luxury bathrooms. While a number of companies offer minimalist stainless steel cans that would look right at home in prison, other companies have taken the stainless steel toilet high tech, like the seat-warmer-equipped multi-functional model from the Chuangxing Stainless Steel Products Co. (pictured top right). As you’d expect, prices on stainless steel toilets range widely, with basic models starting around $1,000.

The Japanese are famous for their high-tech toilets, like the Regio Jazz toilet we showed you back in April. NCM’s new remote control Blooming Bidet isn’t quite as crazy, but it’s definitely a more practical Japanese luxury toilet. The Blooming Bidet is not just a bidet like the name implies, but rather, it’s a toilet with a bidet built in. A remote control that comes with the toilet allows users to adjust the intensity of water spray, warm air dryer, seat warmer, and massage settings. The toilet also comes equipped with an LED underwater night light, a pressure sensor, and analyzers that monitor your feces for signs of sickness.

Japan, land of the ridiculous luxury toilet, has outdone itself with the Regio. Designed to accommodate big men and small men alike, the tankless Regio comes equipped with an extra wide toilet seat, hidden cleaning sprays, a Sharp designed mechanism that kills germ-emitting ions, and an original Jazz toilet soundtrack. That’s right…when the lid is lifted the luxury toilet pumps out soft Jazz piano tunes specifically composed by Yoshiko Kishino for Regio. Pricing starts at about $4,500 for the white version above and climbs to $5,400 for the black model pictured after the jump.
